NORLAND NANNY, MATERNITY NURSE, DOULA AND CONSULTANT

I discovered my passion for working with children in my late teens, during a time when I was exploring different career paths. My journey began in local nurseries in Wales, where I grew up. During one of my placements, I transitioned into the role of a chef and found a deep interest in organic food and creating nutritious meal plans for children. This sparked a desire to pursue higher education and specialize in early childhood development, which led me to Norland College.

The connection was immediate, and after applying, I was accepted into Norland in 2015. Over the course of four transformative years, I earned my qualifications as a Norland Nanny. Since graduating, I’ve continued to expand my skill set, gaining various additional qualifications to offer comprehensive support to the families I work with.

My career as a Nanny began in 2016, evolving into a ROTA Nanny role and, in 2021, into a Maternity Nanny. In this capacity, I’ve had the privilege of working with over 45 families, both on a temporary and full-time basis, primarily in London and across Europe. In 2024, my husband’s job relocated us to Dubai, which led to my first placement in the Middle East. I worked on a ROTA schedule, one week on and one week off, as part of a team of nannies in Saudi Arabia.

In addition to my work as a Nanny, I founded a consultancy and coaching business to support families with new born and toddlers. Through 1:1 virtual sessions, I guide them through the challenges of early parenthood, helping them navigate everything from sleep routines to developmental milestones.

In early 2024, while managing my business, I discovered I had fertility issues during a routine check-up for my endometriosis. This led my partner and me to focus on starting our own family. As a result, I’ve decided to pause my nannying career to concentrate on my business and prepare for motherhood.

Norland College, Bath

My time at Norland, training as an early years childcare specialist, was incredibly demanding. Over four years, I gained hands-on skills essential for the nanny profession, alongside in-depth academic knowledge on children’s brain development and the history of childhood. Every part of my training has been repeatedly applied in supporting families, and I am deeply thankful for the opportunities Norland has provided.
